Torque + cadence sensor?

I am looking at some bikes from one manufacturer and 3 different sensor types are listed:
1) Torque
2) Cadence
3) Torque + Cadence.

I asked and there is no way on #3 to choose either one of the other, it is both of them together.
Can someone help me understand this?
