I swear, I've had the worst luck with my bikes in the last few months. I've probably had at least 10 flats between 4 different bikes (including one today on my newest bike thats less than a week old), and all but one have been the back tire, which happens to be the most difficult to change. How does whatever it is that punctures my tire (be it nails, staples, or random pieces of metal laying in the street) CONSISTENTLY miss the front, but ALWAYS get stuck in the back? I don't understand...
